RAW Nutrition is a bodybuilding-supplement brand that sells creatine four ways — a plain powder in several flavours, single-serve sticks, gummies and a creatine-plus-HMB blend — with athlete editions bearing the names of Sam Sulek and Sara Saffari. Its brand terms draw about 5,500 US searches a month, and a chat assistant names "Raw Nutrition Creatine Monohydrate" as a product entity.
The sources here are RAW's own store, read on 27 October 2026: the product feed, the printed panels pictured on it and the product copy, checked against NSF's register and the NIH label database. Nothing RAW makes was purchased, scooped or lab-tested here. RAW is not placed above or below anyone: on the twelve-brand label index it simply falls between Orgain and Thorne by spelling.
Four formats, one number
Every creatine panel RAW pictures declares the same amount of creatine monohydrate per serving:
| RAW product (panel shown 2026-10-27) | Serving | Creatine monohydrate | Other declared ingredients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creatine Monohydrate, unflavoured (30 or 100 servings) | 1 scoop, 5 g | 5 g | none |
| Creatine Monohydrate, flavoured (Blue Raspberry, Fruit Punch, Cherry Limeade) | 1 scoop, 6.7–7.1 g | 5 g | citric acid, natural flavours, sucralose, malic acid |
| Creatine Monohydrate stick packs (30-count box) | 1 stick, 5 g | 5 g | none |
| Creatine + HMB (30 servings) | 1 scoop, 13.1 g | 5 g | 3 g calcium HMB, 2 g taurine, 200 mg CreaSol SSAT, acids, flavours, sucralose, anti-caking agents, colour |
| Premium Creatine Gummies (12 or 30 servings) | 4 gummies (from 120 per 30 servings) | 5 g on the front | no panel pictured |
Strip the water molecule from five grams of monohydrate and roughly 4.4 g of creatine is left (creatine HCl works through the molecular weights). The unflavoured scoop is creatine and nothing else; a flavoured scoop carries 1.7–2.1 g of acids, flavour and sweetener on top.
The gummy is the one product without a readable panel. Its front reads "5g creatine monohydrate" and "120 gummies", and the page calls it "the full 5g clinical dose". Sugar, calories and the gelling agent are not visible on any image, so they are unknown here. Keeping creatine intact in a moist, acidic chew is a known difficulty; the stability chemistry and the 2024 gummy survey are on the gummy-format page.
The Creatine + HMB scoop
The blend is RAW's most complex creatine product, and its panel reads (per 13.1 g scoop): calcium 380 mg (29% DV) from the HMB salt, magnesium 15 mg, sodium 65 mg, creatine monohydrate 5 g, calcium hydroxymethylbutyrate 3 g, taurine 2 g, CreaSol SSAT 200 mg. A Sara Saffari edition panel shows a 15 g scoop with the same actives and 5 calories.
- HMB at 3 g a day is the amount used in most HMB trials. Whether adding it to creatine does more than creatine alone is the subject of creatine and HMB, which counts five randomised combination trials: the positive pair were run by researchers tied to the compounds, while two outside groups testing trained athletes saw no extra gain.
- Taurine at 2 g — nothing on RAW's listing cites a trial of taurine taken with creatine.
- CreaSol SSAT is described on the label as "stabilized tyrosol" and in the copy as giving "enhanced stability and absorption". No study of creatine absorption with this ingredient was cited on the page.
The certification graphic
Every RAW creatine tub shown carries a round Informed Sport mark, and one image on the creatine listing explains it. Its first paragraph describes Informed Sport — LGC's anti-doping laboratory testing for banned substances. Its second paragraph describes a different programme: "every batch of an NSF Certified for Sport® product is tested for compliance with label claims and to ensure the absence of more than 200 substances banned …".
The two are separate certifications run by separate organisations. What was checked on 2026-10-27:
- NSF Certified for Sport: no RAW Nutrition listing on the register. The graphic's NSF sentence therefore describes testing that the register does not show for this brand.
- Informed Sport: the register's search page returned a bot-protection challenge to an automated read, which was not circumvented. Whether RAW's creatine products are listed, and for which batches, is unverified on this page and is queued for a manual check.
- Eurofins: the gummy description says "Eurofins Tested — Independently verified for creatine potency per serving". No certificate or result is linked.
- The federal label archive (NIH DSLD): a search for RAW Nutrition creatine returned no filed label.
The difference between a listed product, a listed lot and a logo on a tub is explained on what the NSF sport register covers.
The instructions on the plain-creatine listing
A "How to use it" image on the plain creatine monohydrate listing gives three "when to take" rows — 30–45 minutes before a workout, post-workout or on rest days, morning or early afternoon — and ends by telling buyers to use it daily, even on non-training days, "to maintain muscle creatine and HMB levels." The plain powder contains no HMB; the line appears to have been carried over from the Creatine + HMB product. These are the brand's own instructions, reported as written. What the timing trials found is on creatine timing.
What a gram costs
RAW's US store, list prices on 2026-10-27, creatine monohydrate per pack from the panels:
| RAW product | List price | Grams of monohydrate | Dollars per gram |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creatine Monohydrate, 100 servings, unflavoured | $39.99 | 500 g | $0.080 |
| Creatine Monohydrate, 30 servings (any flavour) | $15.99 | 150 g | $0.107 |
| Creatine Value Pack, 60 servings | $35.98 | 300 g | $0.120 |
| Creatine Monohydrate stick packs, 30 count | $19.99 | 150 g | $0.133 |
| Creatine + HMB, 30 servings | $39.99 | 150 g | $0.267 |
| Premium Creatine Gummies, 30 servings | $39.99 | 150 g | $0.267 |
| Premium Creatine Gummies, 12 servings | $17.99 | 60 g | $0.300 |
The same gram of creatine costs 3.3 times as much in the gummy tub as in the large unflavoured tub. The Value Pack costs more per gram than two separate 30-serving tubs would ($31.98). The HMB blend's price also pays for the HMB, taurine and tyrosol; per gram of creatine alone it matches the gummy. Format costs in general are on creatine pills vs powder.
The store's claims, checked
- "Spikes strength, enhances muscular endurance, improves muscle fullness" — the strength and endurance evidence for creatine comes from training trials (the muscle-growth trials); "muscle fullness" is water drawn into muscle cells, which is set out on creatine bloating.
- "Supports cognitive function" on the gummy and premium tubs — Europe's food-safety regulator turned down a creatine-and-cognition claim in late 2024, as the brain-claims page details.
- "Micronized" and "no chemical preservatives" — printed on a feature image; no particle-size figure is given.
- "One of the safest and most studied supplements" — the pooled analysis of 685 trials that backs the safety half of that sentence is read on the side-effects page.
Gaps in RAW's disclosure
- A gummy panel: sugar, calories and gelling agent per serving.
- Any lot-level creatine assay or creatinine figure.
- Which batches Informed Sport tested, and why the graphic quotes NSF.
- The manufacturer and the creatine's origin.
Limits of this analysis
Everything RAW-specific here was read off getrawnutrition.com on 27 October 2026, and no tub, stick or gummy went to a lab. The Informed Sport status stays open because that register challenged an automated visitor. Athlete editions and bundles reprice RAW's range often. The ~5,500 searches a month comes from DataForSEO's clickstream-corrected US data. The 5 g figures are what RAW prints; this page does not turn them into advice.
